The Assistant Branch Manager at Meier Supply Co Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the branch, including sales, inventory control, personnel management, and financial accountability.   • Plan, coordinate, and direct operational activities for the branch.
  • Develop and manage annual branch operations to ensure profitability.
  • Supervise all employees, including planning and scheduling work, assigning tasks, coaching, and discipline.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager and Regional Manager to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining acceptable profit margins.
  • Manage branch inventory, including daily cycle counts and annual physical inventory, and work with corporate inventory managers as necessary.
  • Recommend branch stock levels and manage excess, damaged, and obsolete products.
  • Develop relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and promote sales growth.
  • Identify prospective customers through store or phone sales and communicate prospects to the outside sales team.
  • Coordinate with the Training department to offer relevant classes for customers and employees.
  • Maintain all required certifications as per DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs.
  • Manage branch building maintenance and cash drawer procedures.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call schedule and training.
  • 3-5 years of HVAC experience.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience.
  • Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Forklift training.
  • Experience in a distribution center environment.
  • Strong leadership and vision capabilities.
