About The Position

To gain the skills, knowledge, and expertise to be considered a successful Beef Shoppe Manager. To supervise and ensure that Lowes Foods guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operations are maintained in the beef shoppe/seafood department to achieve maximum sales. Assume the duties of the Department Manager in their absence. We are excited to announce that Lowes Foods Store 283 Indian Land, SC will open Fall 2025! The store will be packed with all our Guests' favorite concepts that we can't wait to share with this community! Indian Land was recently voted a best small town in South Carolina. It's short 20-minute drive to Charlotte, NC and offers the best of small town feel with easy access to the hustle and bustle of city life! Indian Land has several parks for nature lovers, and breweries for those who love to socialize. And, with major sports teams and venues in Charlotte, there's plenty to do!

Requirements

Should possess good interpersonal skills, effective selling skills, and have an outgoing personality.
Ability to work well with others. Ability to sell and interact with guests.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
Ability to read and understand information and directions.
Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
Ability to supervise people, including training and development.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job, including operating a computer.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Ensures all guests receive polite, friendly greetings and interactions from the Beef Shoppe staff. Creates a selling environment through the use of selling skills.
Achieves budgeted sales, supply/wrap, shrink, and gross profits for the Beef Shoppe and seafood departments.
Prepare products for sale (meat cutting, slicing, trimming, wrapping, weighing, and pricing) according to Lowes Foods Standards.
Maintains the desired level of inventory and supplies for the Beef Shoppe and seafood departments. Ensures in stock conditions through proper ordering.
Operates the department according to merchandising and operational programs and guidelines.
Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat/seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
Provides guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to the Beef Shoppe and seafood department staff to ensure Beef Shoppe hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards and guest interaction.
Performs product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
Maintains the department's labor budget and ensures that optimal hours are scheduled for the department to maximize sales and guest service.
Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
