About The Position

It is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Basketball Coach to teach and guide middle and/or high school students on the team. This is to include selection and tryouts, practice and skill development, and league play representing Destiny Christian Academy and its mission statement. This is primarily a discipleship role.

Requirements

• Formal coaching training at college or high school level.
• Knowledge of the sport and its rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Athletic Head Coach in training, developing, and supervising the team.
• Monitor student behavior and discipline as necessary.
• Counsel students as required.
• Attend all games/meets and ride the bus with your team.
