About The Position
Cottage Grove High School is seeking applicants for an assistant baseball coach for the upcoming spring sports season. This position supports CGHS students in achieving success both athletically and academically.
Requirements
- Qualified applicants should have a general knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
- Candidates must demonstrate a willingness to contribute wherever needed within the program and be open to serving at either the varsity or JV level based on program needs.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with all levels of Cottage Grove Baseball.
- Willingness to serve as an assistant coach at either the varsity or JV level, depending on program needs.
- Effectively teach and develop fundamental baseball skills, techniques, and strategies.
- Plan, organize, conduct, and evaluate practice sessions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of game plans and position-specific instruction.
- Serve as a leader, mentor, and role model for student-athletes.
- Collaborate with the full coaching staff to build a cohesive and competitive program.
- Attend all practices, games, team meetings, and program events.

- Compensation is provided through a coaching stipend and is determined based on available funding.
