About The Position

Lycoming College is hiring a part-time Assistant Baseball Coach! This position works collaboratively in the organization and execution of athletic practices and competitive events for the Lycoming College Baseball team. This person will also assist with some recruitment responsibilities for new student athletes. This is a part-time position that begins in January and works through May for an average of 450 hours annually for a total of $3,262.50. There is also potential for low-rent housing to be made available for the individual selected for this role. There is an option of incurring more hours in the upcoming fiscal year in July. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (expected competition date of 6.1.26) or an equivalent of 3+ years coaching experience.
• Effective in strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Travel is required for the position as is a good standing driving record with a valid US driver’s license.
• Weekend and evening work required.

Nice To Haves

• College level coaching and playing experience preferred.
• Experience with student recruiting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instruct student-athletes with sound principles and expert skills related to baseball
• Prepare individual athletes for practices, set season goals and motivate students using techniques that are consistent with Lycoming College’s athletic program philosophy.
• Model integrity, respect and good sportsman ship at all times.
• Recruit student-athletes who meet the College’s admission requirements, who possess the potential to contribute to the team and add positively to the student body.
• Monitor the academic success of student-athletes.
