About The Position

The Assistant Banking Center Manager (ABCM) is responsible for supervising staff at a Cape Cod 5 Banking Center, ensuring optimal performance and operations while delivering exceptional customer care. The ABCM acts as a trusted financial advisor, providing a full range of financial services to meet customer goals and supporting staff in their professional development as part of the retail management team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (5+ years) in financial services industry.
• Completion of Small business lending training within 12 months of hire.
• Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration.
• Notary Public commission.
• Completion of Medallion signature guarantee training.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of progressive retail banking experience including supervisory experience.
• Conversant in all Bank business lines.
• Ability to mentor others in transactions and platform services.
• Critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, supervises and mentors Banking Center staff for day-to-day administration of job duties, including scheduling and coaching.
• Monitors and makes decisions based on management reports.
• Develops rapport with customers, greeting them by name and addressing inquiries in a timely manner.
• Provides backup to the Banking Center Manager.
• Ensures excellent customer care for daily transactions and problem resolution according to Bank policies.
• Performs banking transactions including processing deposits and loan payments, and issuing checks.
• Handles Banking Center opening and closing activities.
• Introduces and advises on the Bank's deposit and consumer loan products.
• Determines customers' financial needs and identifies referrals to other business lines.
• Discusses customer lending opportunities and assists with loan applications.
• Safeguards customer confidentiality and complies with all laws and regulations.
• Completes assigned learning activities in a timely manner.
• Acts as vault custodian and participates in Banking Center meetings.
• Volunteers in community groups and events.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
