About The Position

The position assists the Banking Center Manager in the daily management and operation of the Banking Center, assuming the Manager's responsibilities in their absence. The role exemplifies and encourages Core Values through various duties and responsibilities. This includes managing operational processes and controls to ensure high-quality customer information and compliance standards, delivering quality customer service, and ensuring effective staff utilization and performance evaluations. The position also involves mentoring new Retail Bankers, overseeing communication regarding operational issues, and collaborating with the manager for sales meetings. The individual will support sales and service activities, may perform duties of Loan Officer or Personal Banker, and meet Banking Center performance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two years of bank retail experience and one year of supervisory experience.
  • Internal candidates must have one to two years of experience as a Retail Relationship Banker or Personal Banker Supervisor.
  • New account training required; loan training preferred.
  • Proficient in Internet, Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with bank-specific software such as MPC, IBS, ADP.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to promote the Bank's culture.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Banking Center in the absence of the manager.
  • Ensure operational processes and controls maintain high quality and compliance standards.
  • Assist in delivering quality customer service through personal contact with customers.
  • Utilize staff effectively and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Mentor new Retail Bankers and ensure compliance with mentoring program standards.
  • Coordinate communications to staff regarding operational issues.
  • Collaborate with the manager to conduct sales meetings.
  • Meet Banking Center performance standards in various operational areas.
  • Support and promote sales and service activities of staff.
  • Perform duties of Loan Officer, Personal Banker, or Relationship Banker as needed.
