The Assistant Bakery Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Bakery Manager by overseeing the daily operations of the Bakery department. The Assistant Bakery Manager is also responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of product quality and presentation.

Requirements

• Problem-solving skills and some on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in supervising department operations and personnel.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure associates follow company policies.
• Achieve sales, gross profit, labor, shrink, and inventory goals for the department.
• Utilize retail selling techniques to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
• Perform job functions of other department personnel as needed.
• Take charge of the department in the absence of the Bakery Manager.
• Supervise 2 to 30 associates in a fast-paced environment and manage disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Operate various store computer systems and assist in conducting periodic reviews of work practices.
