About The Position

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ✅ Customer Service Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast and friendly service . Assist customers with product suggestions, special orders, and food preparation ideas. Answer and respond to incoming calls appropriately; resolve customer complaints and escalate to Store Director when necessary. Engage in suggestive selling and other sales techniques via telephone, in-store intercom, and one-on-one interaction. 🍞 Bakery Operations Possess specific knowledge of duties performed by all department employees; assist with preparation, baking, decorating, and product display. Implement proper and efficient product preparation and packaging techniques. Maintain Bakery case cleanliness, visual appeal, and inventory levels. Ensure proper cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of bakery area and equipment; maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure temperatures are maintained during all phases of preparation, display, and storage. 👥 Team Support Assist with scheduling, supervising, training, and assigning duties to department employees. Help plan daily operations and monitor production processes for compliance and profitability. Understand and execute opening and closing department procedures. Communicate sales goals, department performance, and opportunities to team members. 📦 Inventory & Compliance Control inventory to maintain adequate product quantity, quality, and freshness per division directives. Stock and rotate products; maintain and organize cooler. Conduct physical inventory every 4 weeks . Enforce proper code dating for all products. Build displays, rotate stock, and discard outdated or spoiled products. 🛠 Receiving & Administrative Perform receiving duties: break down loads, verify orders using invoices, inspect quality, report shortages, stock and rotate product. Adhere to product temperature and storage guidelines; follow proper packaging techniques. Process administrative paperwork and maintain accurate department records. Complete and monitor daily log sheets, Production Chart, Sales and Labor reports, and other required documentation. 📊 Performance & Cost Control Control shrink and cost. Assist with preparing sales and inventory reports. May attend and participate in sales meetings. 📚 Compliance Maintain working knowledge of company policies and guidelines (Albertsons/Tom Thumb Employee Handbook). Follow and maintain department standards. Implement effective promotional and seasonal displays.
