About The Position

The Assistant Bakery Manager at Brookshire Grocery Company is responsible for ensuring that baked goods are prepared and displayed according to company standards. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and one or more years of related experience.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Manager Food Safety certification required.
• Intermediate knowledge of bakery operations and inventory management processes.
• Ability to lead and motivate others and communicate effectively with customers and partners.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to operate digital equipment and hazardous tools safely.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a retail bakery environment.
• Creativity in product decoration and merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Train and develop bakery personnel in conjunction with upper management.
• Schedule, plan, assign, and direct work for bakery staff.
• Review historical sales data and assist in inventory management to maintain satisfactory stock levels.
• Indirectly responsible for improving sales performance and product quality.
• Enforce quality control and food safety standards, ensuring proper product rotation.
• Assist in all aspects of bakery production including preparation, packaging, and delivery of baked goods.
• Use creativity to decorate baked goods and create appealing product displays.
• Check inventory on trucks, unload products, and ensure accuracy in ordering and paperwork.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling and attractive displays.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and taking orders.
