About The Position

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a passionate part-time Assistant Bread Baker to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on producing a unique selection of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads using honest, whole ingredients. The Assistant Bread Baker will be responsible for maintaining food quality and customer service while contributing to the bakery's community-oriented mission.

Requirements

• Proven experience in large-scale baking or pastry (preferred but not required).
• Ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and tasks.
• Attentiveness to food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• Formal baking or pastry education is a bonus.
• Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and baking of artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads.
• Follow recipes and pay close attention to details to ensure high-quality bread production.
• Lift and handle large amounts of dough and supplies, weighing 50 lbs or more.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal food handling and sanitation standards.
• Work flexible hours, including afternoons and nights, with a shift on Sundays.
