About The Position

Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell seeks a highly motivated attorney to join her Office's Consumer Protection Division as an Assistant Attorney General. The Division enforces the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act (M.G.L. c. 93A) and seeks to protect consumers from abusive practices in debt collection, automobile sales, mortgage lending, and student lending, among many other areas. Racial justice is a strategic priority of the Office, and we aim to serve the most vulnerable consumers in the Commonwealth. The Assistant Attorney General (AAG) in the Consumer Protection Division will be responsible for identifying problematic business practices that negatively impact consumers, evaluating their suitability for enforcement, and ultimately, investigating and litigating civil actions on behalf of the Commonwealth, where appropriate. The AAG will be expected to develop and implement concrete strategies for remedying industry-wide consumer abuses and may also have the opportunity to participate in legislative and regulatory policy development at both the state and federal levels.
