About The Position
The Office of the Attorney General ("OAG") has an opening for an Assistant Attorney General within the Litigation Division in the Augusta Office. This position is based in Augusta and provides legal services to the Maine Department of Labor (MDOL), including to the Maine Unemployment Insurance Commission, the Bureau of Unemployment Compensation, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Services, and the Bureau of Employment Services. The legal services provided by this position include representing MDOL in litigation in state and federal court, representing MDOL in administrative proceedings, foreclosure and bankruptcy matters, contract review, Freedom of Access requests, rulemaking, client consultation, and day-to-day general counsel services. The litigation involving MDOL includes Rule 80C petitions.
