About The Position

The Assistant Athletic Director of Events, Donor Engagement, and Stewardship at Tulane University is responsible for overseeing all aspects of athletic development events and donor hospitality. This full-time role involves planning and executing events both locally and regionally, managing donor engagement during athletic events, and ensuring the delivery of member benefits for the Green Wave Club. The position requires collaboration with university leadership to align event efforts with fundraising initiatives aimed at increasing private donor support for Tulane Athletics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Four (4) years of event management, hospitality, operations, or transferable experience (marketing, admissions, public relations, alumni relations, volunteer management, or sales experience) OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with ten (10) years of relevant experience.
  • Experience staging, planning, and executing events.
  • Ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with external constituencies and prospective donors.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to maintain fiscal responsibility when executing events and hospitality.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of Advancement CRM systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Background in coordinating hospitality, stewardship, and events.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all Tulane Athletics Development events locally and regionally.
  • Manage donor hospitality at home football, basketball, and baseball games.
  • Oversee Green Wave Club member stewardship and timely delivery of benefits.
  • Coordinate with the Senior Associate Athletic Director, Development to enhance stewardship for principal and major gift donors.
  • Work closely with University Advancement and Department of Athletics leadership to align event efforts with fundraising initiatives.
