The Department of Counseling at Montclair State University invites applications for the Assistant or Associate Teaching Professor. Appointment includes teaching four courses per semester, primarily in the CACREP accredited master’s-level Addiction Counseling program. The faculty member will also teach graduate courses across the curriculum for prospective counselors in the four concentrations. The department seeks a candidate who is committed to preparing future counselors to effectively work with diverse individuals and communities, actively identifying and addressing systemic barriers within the counseling field, and integrating culturally responsive practices into their teaching and supervision. Faculty members are expected to teach, advise, and mentor students; contribute to accreditation processes; participate in department committees; participate in community engagement; and meet qualifications to teach in a CACREP-accredited program. Position is a two-year, ten-month, non-tenure track (NTT) appointment, with eligibility for reappointment based on established NTT procedures.
