The Mississippi State University, College of Veterinary Medicine has an immediate opening for a tenure track faculty position in Small Animal Surgery. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department. Teaching responsibilities will include didactic/clinical training for professional, graduate and technology students enrolled at the College of Veterinary Medicine, and Surgery resident preparation. Service responsibilities will shared with four other surgeons, four current surgery residents, one surgery specialty intern and a team of veterinary technicians, and will comprise small animal surgical management in a teaching hospital environment, including participation in the after-hours emergency service. Establishment of an active record of research and scholarly activity is expected.
