About The Position

The Assistant/Associate Professor position is based in the Emergency Department (ED) and involves providing direct patient care, contributing to the academic and research missions of UAMS. Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Emergency Medicine residency program.
Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine.
Eligible for medical licensure in Arkansas.
Strong clinical decision-making, leadership, communication, and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, evidence-based emergency medical care to patients in the ED.
Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows in a clinical setting.
Participate in educational activities, including lectures, case discussions, and simulation training.
Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publications, and presentations at national and regional conferences.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and improve clinical outcomes.
Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement projects, and administrative duties as assigned.
Maintain compliance with institutional policies, regulatory standards, and best practices in emergency medicine.
