Texas A&M University–Texarkana, through the Education Division, seeks a tenure-track faculty member in Reading to contribute to undergraduate and graduate educator preparation programs through teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate will provide high-quality instruction in reading and literacy education, support teacher preparation and advanced certification pathways, and maintain an active program of scholarly inquiry aligned with the mission of the university. The standard teaching load is 3/3, with expectations for peer-reviewed research, scholarly publication, and professional dissemination consistent with tenure and promotion guidelines. Teaching responsibilities will emphasize reading development, assessment, intervention, and evidence-based literacy instruction aligned with the Science of Teaching Reading (STR) and Texas reading standards, with the possibility of teaching related courses across the Education Division as program needs require. The position includes collaboration with EC–12 partners, support for certification programs, and service to the department, university, and profession. The successful candidate will value collegiality, continuous improvement, and data-informed decision-making in teaching, research, and program development.
