About The Position
The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor Plastic Surgery, UNLV Medicine Plastic Surgery. The Department of Plastic Surgery, at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon. The successful candidate will have special training and interest in Gender Reassignment, and the full spectrum of plastic surgery including general reconstruction of the trunk, head and neck, upper and lower extremities as well as reconstructive microsurgery, complex wound care and reconstruction, and the care of traumatic injuries including facial fractures, burns, and replantation at the state of Nevada's only Level I Trauma Center. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing academic Plastic Surgery practice with an integrated plastic surgery residency training program and a micro surgery fellowship. Responsibilities include patient care, research and teaching (didactic and bedside) for Plastic Surgery residents and fellows, trainees in other residencies, and medical students: patient care with reconstructive needs in both inpatient and outpatient care settings, and clinical and/or basic science research. Must take plastic surgery call. This position may be considered at the tenured, tenure-track or non-tenure track appointment depending on qualifications.
