About The Position
The department of Surgery at Macon and Joan Brock Virginia Health Sciences at Old Dominion University has a faculty position opening at the assistant or associate professor level. Candidates should either be board certified or board eligible and interested in program building and working in a multidisciplinary manner with colleagues in numerous specialties. Opportunities exist for collaborative research (both clinical and basic science).

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with peers, faculty and support staff
- Participate in academic/clinical/research activities as needed
- Participate in administrative, department policy and procedure development.
- Participate in clinical based research projects as needed.
- Participate in committees as assigned.
- Supervise staff under faculty supervision.
- Provide physician care to patients in office/hospital setting.
- Collaborate with Nursing, office staff, administration in patient care
- Participate in education evaluation and career development of students, residents, fellows and staff.
