About The Position

The College of Arts and Humanities at Lindenwood University invites applications for an Assistant / Associate Professor of Theatre. Qualified applicants will possess a Masters Degree (MFA preferred) in Theatre with specialization in Costume Design and/or Production. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 2 courses (6 credit hours) each semester on Costuming. Preference will be given to candidates with experience teaching online. All Lindenwood faculty members are expected to advise and mentor students, continue to develop their expertise through research and scholarship, and participate in faculty governance and campus life. The Assistant / Associate Professor of Theatre is a full-time, 9-month faculty position that will begin August 14, 2025. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. In addition to teaching courses, this position is also responsible for design and supervision of all aspects of costume construction, rental, crafts, and maintenance for show costumes. They also are responsible for running the costume shop and the supervision of student workers and mentoring student costume designers.
