About The Position

The Department of Marketing and Business Information Systems at Rowan University is seeking to hire a 10-month, full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Supply Chain and Logistics, with an appointment beginning September 1, 2026. The Department of Marketing and Business Information Systems is specifically interested in candidates who will develop a research program in areas of Supply Chain and Logistics. However, outstanding candidates with research programs outside of these areas may also be considered. A Ph.D. or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution is required. We anticipate hiring at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates may be considered at the Associate Professor level. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain an active, highly visible research program with outstanding scholarship, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and contribute to the various service endeavors in the Department, College, and University. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record and/or potential to establish and sustain a strong research program. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses as appropriate in Supply Chain Management and Logistics; maintaining an active research agenda in related areas; participating in assurance-of-learning activities; engaging actively in department, college, university, professional, and outreach activities, and mentoring students. Teaching assignments will include undergraduate and graduate courses in traditional classroom or online formats. Candidates with teaching interests in Strategic Supply Chain Management and Lean Six Sigma are particularly encouraged to apply, though all areas of specialization are welcomed. The Supply Chain and Logistics Program at Rowan offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain and Logistics, a minor in Supply Chain and Logistics, as well as a Supply Chain/Logistical Systems concentration in the MBA program. The program is housed in the Department of Marketing and Business Information Systems, which currently enrolls approximately 750 undergraduate students and offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Marketing and Information Systems & Analytics (ISA), along with several undergraduate minors and additional MBA concentrations. Of these students, about 100 are Supply Chain and Logistics majors. As a College and Department, we are committed to curricular innovation and have recently introduced new course offerings in technology, data, and analytics. We have a strong program of professional development for our students, welcome teaching innovations, and maintain excellent ties to the professional community. Faculty research is strongly supported through generous travel funds and access to a wide range of databases and state-of-the-art software packages. The William G. Rohrer College of Business is a growing, vibrant community with approximately 3,000 undergraduate and masters' level students. A state-of-the-art building provides 100,000 square feet of space housing the latest in technology, collaboration and creative spaces, career services, academic advising, and dining options. RCB is one of a small number of business schools in the U.S. to hold accreditations from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for its business programs and from the Computing Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) for its Information Systems & Analytics program. RCB offers eight undergraduate majors, eight minors, and several certificates. New offerings in professional sales and FinTech launched in Spring 2025. Graduate programs include the MBA and MS in Finance. The College has four departments: Accounting & Finance, Marketing & Business Information Systems, Management, and Entrepreneurship. The School of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, housed in the College of Business, is anchored by the Rohrer Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and is repeatedly ranked among the best programs in the U.S.
