About The Position

The Department of Social Work at Westfield State University is seeking two full-time tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professors to begin in September 2025. The positions involve teaching across both the BSW and MSW programs, which are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The MSW Program offers a clinically focused education using a hybrid model, while the BSW Program provides generalist education. Professors are expected to engage in teaching, research, and service to the university community.

Requirements

• Master of Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years post-masters direct practice experience.
• PhD in Social Work from an accredited institution (ABD candidates will be considered).

• Ability to teach Social Work Research Methods.
• Practice experience in child welfare.
• Practice experience with child, youth, and family.
• Ability to teach in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the BSW and MSW programs.
• Develop and deliver course content in a hybrid format.
• Engage in research and scholarly activities.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities.
• Advise students and support their academic progress.
