About The Position

Rutgers Graduate School of Education is seeking an outstanding scholar for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Reading/Literacy Education (Tenure-Track). The successful candidate will conduct research, publish, and secure grants that advance the school's mission of excellence and equity in education. The position involves teaching courses related to literacy education, contributing to teacher preparation programs, and engaging in program development. The ideal candidate will have a research agenda focused on reading in Pre K-12 classrooms, with a preference for expertise in assessment. Requirements

  • Earned a doctoral degree from an accredited major research university with a specialization in reading or literacy.
  • Emerging (Assistant Professor) or demonstrated (Associate Professor) record of scholarship and publishing in reading/literacy education.
  • Experience in teacher education and preparation of educators.
  • Capacity and interest in pursuing a research and publication agenda that supports educational opportunity and community engagement.
  • Practical experience in supporting reading development in Pre K-12 classrooms.

Responsibilities
