The Vision Research Center of the School of Medicine seeks an Assistant or Associate Professor with research experience and potential in Ocular Regenerative Medicine. The successful candidate will provide evidence and/or aptitude for externally funded projects focused primarily on regeneration in the field of ocular neuroscience, regenerative genetic therapy science, development and transplantation of bio-artificial ocular tissue, or other retinal cell regenerative medical science. The Assistant/Associate Professor will join a well-known and highly successful team of eye research faculty engaged in pioneering collaborative discoveries. While the primary focus of the appointment will be research centered in the department of Ophthalmology, the tenure home is based in the department of Biomedical Sciences. A tenure-eligible appointment consists of evident success in teaching, externally funded research, and service. Limited courses will be developed and assigned in the department of Biomedical Sciences teaching medical and graduate students.
