About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona Beach, is inviting applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. This is a teaching-focused position with a general expectation of teaching 4 sections per semester in the fall and spring semesters plus optional summer courses and moderate service. This position has no research expectations, although opportunities for research may exist. Non-tenure track faculty members at Embry-Riddle are eligible for future promotion based on job performance and length of service.

Requirements

  • Earned PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Strong desire to focus on innovative and high-quality instruction.
  • Prior teaching and/or industrial experience is encouraged.
  • Interest in advising student project teams is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 4 sections per semester in the fall and spring semesters.
  • Optionally teach summer courses.
  • Engage in moderate service activities.
