The Department of Human Physiology at the University of Oregon invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin fall 2025. The goal of this position is to enhance department expertise related to exercise physiology, human performance, and athletic medicine in areas related to metabolism and nutrition. The ideal candidate will address complex problems related to human physiology asking innovative and applied questions using human participants that will provide generalizable benefits for people across ages, abilities, and health. They will contribute to transdisciplinary collaboration in education and research efforts at the UO related to sport, wellness, and human performance. Desirable areas of expertise include: female athlete nutrition and metabolism; metabolism and nutrition in sport and performance; sex differences and training optimization with nutritional interventions; nutrition interventions to optimize wellness; precision nutrition; integrative and functional nutrition and metabolism; nutritional strategies for menopausal transitions; nutrition across the lifespan.
