About The Position

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business is seeking to appoint outstanding scholars to tenure-track positions in Finance beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. This position is aimed at individuals who hold a PhD (or equivalent) in relevant fields or expect to complete their PhD requirements by July 1, 2025, or soon thereafter. The university emphasizes the importance of having a PhD or equivalent for all tenure-track faculty, and those who have not yet satisfied their degree requirements by the specified date may be appointed as instructors, with the expectation that they will complete their PhD requirements shortly thereafter. Upon completion, they will be appointed as assistant professors. Candidates are required to submit a curriculum vitae, a job market paper, and the names of at least two scholars who can evaluate their ability, training, and potential for research and teaching. The review of applications will commence on November 12, 2024, and will continue until March 31, 2025.
