About The Position

The Department of Mathematics & Physics at Saint Cloud State University is seeking applications for a fixed-term, non-probationary Assistant or Associate Professor of Developmental Mathematics. The successful candidate will teach a mix of developmental and introductory college-level mathematics courses as needed, serve on department committees, and be professionally active. The position will initially be filled for the 2026-2027 academic year but may be renewed contingent on course demand and available funding. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or equivalent, at time of application.
  • Experience teaching developmental mathematics content.
  • Understanding of and willingness to teach corequisite developmental mathematics courses.
  • Knowledge of developmental mathematics programs, assessments and materials.
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Evidence of demonstrated ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
  • successful applicants must be eligible to work in the United States on or before the effective date of appointment. Eligibility includes being a U.S. citizen or national, a lawful permanent resident, or a foreign national authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship. Employees must maintain work authorization without sponsorship for the duration of their appointment.
