About The Position
The position requires the teaching of courses in our masters program in Criminal Justice and our Ph.D. program in Criminology and Justice Administration.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice at the rank of Assistant Professor
- Doctoral degree in Sociology, or Public Policy and Administration with a concentration in Criminal Justice.
Nice To Haves
- A Doctoral degree in Criminal Justice at the rank of Associate Professor with research/scholarly activity.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence and an on-going program of research/scholarly activity (i.e., two within a three year review cycle).
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses
- Advise students
- Chair doctoral dissertations and master's thesis
- Participate in curricular development; assessment; and service to the department, college, and university
- Performs other duties as assigned
