About The Position

Primary Purpose Enhance the knowledge, growth and overall development of the veterinary students through contribution to courses administered by the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences through the delivery of assigned lectures, running small groups, reviewing and contributing to course material, developing and reviewing exam questions. Essential Job Functions Responsibilities in research and teaching in Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities in research and teaching in Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology.
  • Assist in teaching body system modules during the first and second spirals of the DVM curriculum, with an emphasis on Veterinary Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology.
  • Oversee the development and administration of the department's postgraduate degree programs.
  • Contribute to core and elective course instruction across the DVM and graduate programs.
  • Participate in Integrated Team Instruction, focusing on small-group, collaborative learning methods.
  • Engage in teaching Professionalism and Clinical Skills as part of the broader curriculum.
  • Promote and support research initiatives among faculty and graduate students and through interdisciplinary collaboration with other schools.
  • Provide mentorship to faculty and graduate students, especially junior faculty, fostering development in teaching, research, and postgraduate programs.
  • Participate in the following University Activities: Faculty Senate Departmental Meetings (when required) Departmental Faculty evaluations (when required) College/University committees
