About The Position

The Franciscan University of Steubenville is seeking a full-time, tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Catechetics and Evangelization to join the Department of Theology starting in August 2025. The role requires a commitment to the university's mission and the ability to contribute to academic research in catechetics, particularly with a focus on ministry to the Hispanic/Latino audience.

Requirements

• Ph.D., S.T.D., or D.Min. required at time of employment (ABD candidates considered).
• At least ten years of successful experience in the field.
• Demonstrated experience in ministry with the Hispanic/Latino audience preferred.
• Capacity to contribute to academic research in catechetics.
• Support for the Mission Statement of the University, including willingness to get a Mandatum and take the Oath of Fidelity.
• Willingness to relocate to Steubenville or its environs.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Catechetics and Evangelization.
