Primary instruction will be within the 3+2 and 2-year Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) program, with the potential of teaching other undergraduate and graduate courses in the department. The incumbent would be expected to teach courses that may include, but are not limited to: MSAT Courses: Principles of Athletic Training, Clinical Exam and Diagnosis, Therapeutic Modalities, Therapeutic Rehabilitation, Therapeutic Interventions (General Medical), Psychosocial Issues in Sports Medicine, Pharmacology in Athletic Training, Interprofessional Health Care, Research, Administration and Professionalism, Topics, and Clinical Experience Exercise and Rehabilitative Science Courses: Anatomical Kinesiology, Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries, Foundations of Exercise Science, Strength and Conditioning Potential to teach summer MSAT courses. Collaborate interprofessionally to prepare confident, competent, collaborative, and ethical professionals who positively impact the patients and communities they serve. Collaborate with faculty in curriculum review, revision, assessment, and strategic planning. Participate in the recruitment, admission, and retention of MSAT program applicants. Assist with maintaining CAATE accreditation. Instruct courses in varied locations, at varied times, and via various media commensurate with department and university needs. Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field. Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities. Contribute to student growth and development including academic advising of undergraduate and MSAT students, and potentially supervising student research projects. Provide service to the university and community including the program, the department, the college, the university, and the greater community.
