The Jefferson College of Population Health is seeking a dedicated faculty member at the Assistant or Associate level to join our team. This full-time position is based at the Center City campus in Philadelphia, PA, and is focused on teaching graduate-level courses in epidemiology and public health. The successful candidate will also provide research mentoring to both masters and doctoral students, and will be expected to lead and collaborate on externally funded research projects. We are particularly interested in candidates with research expertise in health equity and/or global health, although all research backgrounds will be considered. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to research, possess a student-centered approach, and exhibit excellence in teaching. A record of peer-reviewed publications and external funding is essential, commensurate with the candidate's rank and experience. The Assistant/Associate Professor will work collaboratively with other faculty, College leadership, staff, students, and alumni to enhance the College's academic programs through excellence in teaching, research, and service. Specific job duties include developing, revising, and teaching courses in epidemiology, public health, and health policy; mentoring students in various research projects; participating in College and University committees; providing career advice and academic mentorship; representing the College at community activities; leading externally funded research; and publishing and presenting research in peer-reviewed journals and scientific venues. The role also involves providing service to the profession and community, along with other duties as assigned.
