About The Position

The University of South Florida is seeking a qualified candidate for a position that involves teaching, clinical duties, service, and research. The successful candidate will be responsible for student success coaching, mentoring, and related activities. They may also represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or professional organization committees. The position requires a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited academic program and prior experience as a clinical pharmacist at an inpatient hospital for at least two years. Candidates must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. For those applying for the Associate Professor rank, a strong record of research/publication, teaching, service, and clinical experience is required.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited academic program
• Prior experience as a clinical pharmacist at an inpatient hospital for at least two years
• Meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor

Nice To Haves

• Prior teaching experience in a Doctor of Pharmacy program
• PGY 1 or PGY 2 training in internal medicine, critical care, infectious disease, or psychiatry
• Strong clinical interest in infectious disease, and/or psychiatry
• Candidates with joint degrees (MPH, MHA, MBA, etc.) in addition to a Pharm.D. are strongly encouraged to apply
• Candidates with board certification from BPS, or other credentialing from an accredited body

Responsibilities

• Teaching: 40% as assigned
• Clinical Duties: 40% Efforts may be dedicated to activities that align with the incumbent's professional discipline.
• Service: 10% as assigned
• Research: 10% Efforts may be dedicated to research activities that align with the incumbent's professional discipline.
• Responsible for student success coaching, mentoring, and related activities.
• May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or professional organization committees.
