About The Position

The School of Applied and Creative Computing at Purdue University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor position in Cybersecurity at the West Lafayette, Indiana campus starting in Fall 2026. While we welcome applicants with expertise in broader computer/network security, privacy, and cyber forensics, we are particularly interested in security and privacy in AI/ML, applying AI/ML for security and privacy research, cyber-physical system security, and digital forensics for cybercrime investigation. The ideal candidate will contribute to building secure, resilient, and privacy-preserving computing systems, and to training students to ensure digital safety and forensic proficiency in an increasingly intelligent and connected world.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. completed or expected by August 2026 in computing or closely related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Pursue high-impact research programs and secure external funding.
  • Mentor graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) and undergraduate students in research.
  • Conduct high-quality teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Participate in service to the school, university, and the discipline.
  • Engage with industry, the community, and colleagues within the computing discipline.
