The Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a tenure-track position in a broad scope of the department's research areas at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering. We encourage applications from candidates with expertise and interest in establishing research programs with an emphasis on mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, product and process design; AI-driven machine learning applied to generative and sustainable design; Computer-aided engineering and design optimization; energy systems and thermal systems engineering; semiconductor manufacturing and microelectronics, and packaging; and intelligent systems, automation and novel robotic systems.
