The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks to hire a faculty member with expertise in advanced semiconductor materials for next-generation electronic or optoelectronic technologies such as photonic integrated circuits, energy-efficient or heterogeneous electronics, control, power conversion, communications, lighting, or sensing applications, among others. The faculty member recruited through this search will be expected to contribute extensively to state-of-the-art metalorganic vapor phase epitaxy (MOVPE) reactors within ECE, including significant use and/or modification of a reactor currently used for epitaxy of III- arsenide, phosphide, and antimonide materials, and will be able to leverage research core facilities within the Wisconsin Centers for Nanoscale Technology for nanoscale fabrication, imaging, and characterization. The successful candidate will lead research innovations in epitaxy, advanced semiconductor structures, and/or fundamental transport processes to address pressing societal and industrial challenges. Outstanding candidates at the Assistant and Associate Professor rank will be considered.
