Requirements

  • Board-certified or board-eligible and fellowship-trained in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Qualified for a faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate level.
  • Licensed or eligible for a clinical practice license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
  • Holds an MD or DO qualification through an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the charge in establishing and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Dive into pioneering research and academic scholarship in Geriatric medicine.
  • Collaborate with various departments and area hospitals to promote interdisciplinary care and drive the Division's growth.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional development for residents, fellows, and other healthcare learners.
  • Enhance and expand clinical and training programs tailored to the unique needs of the communities we serve.
  • Provide comprehensive medical care in both hospital and outpatient settings.
  • Work closely with nursing, administrative, and support staff to optimize patient care.
  • Participate in committees and projects that shape the future of our field.
