About The Position

Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Biological and Inorganic Chemistry . The Department of Chemistry at the University of Utah invites applicants for three tenure-track faculty positions at all ranks in the broadly defined areas of: Bioanalytical/Analytical Chemistry such as electrochemistry, bioelectrochemistry, biocatalysis, and biosensing; Organic/Polymer Chemistry (including but not limited to innovative approaches to the synthesis, design, recycling and upcycling of polymers); Inorganic/Materials Chemistry in areas such as materials design and/or automation that may leverage computational and data-driven techniques. The candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their ability to develop a vigorous, internationally visible, and well-funded research program, and exemplify effective teaching and mentorship to both undergraduate and graduate students. In addition, our Department values candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and possess a strong commitment to improving access to higher education. A Ph.D. is required and postdoctoral experience is highly desirable. For priority consideration, application materials should be uploaded by September 15, 2023 in PDF format.
