About The Position

The School of Kinesiology and Recreation invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Exercise Science to begin August 16, 2026. The position involves teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, developing a focused area of scholarship, and participating in service activities within the College, School, and Program. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a capacity to significantly contribute to the delivery and strength of the Exercise Science sequences offered by the program.

Requirements

• A doctoral degree in Exercise Science or a commensurate field (ABD candidates may be considered with an expected completion date of May 15, 2027 or before).
• Demonstrated oral proficiency in the English language as mandated by state law.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality instruction in undergraduate and graduate courses such as Exercise Programming and Clinical Exercise Physiology.
• Mentor students and direct graduate research projects and theses.
• Develop a focused area of scholarship culminating in nationally refereed publications and presentations.
• Participate in College, School, and Program faculty meetings and activities.
• Serve on Program, School, College, and/or University Committees and contribute to professional organizations.
