The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) Program at Hofstra University invites applications for three tenure-track, core DPT program faculty positions at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. These are full-time positions which include teaching, scholarship, and service responsibilities, with start dates of January 1, 2024, September 1, 2024, and January 1, 2025. Reporting to the Director of the Physical Therapy Program, the faculty member teaches courses and content within their areas of expertise. Faculty are expected to demonstrate active engagement in scholarship and dissemination of scholarly work that contributes to the profession. Service expectations include instructional development, academic advising, participating in program, departmental and university-wide committees, and other appropriate responsibilities. These new faculty members will join the team at an exciting time. The DPT program recently moved to newly renovated faculty office space and a new research and state-of-the-art instructional spaces. Spaces support diverse teaching and scholarship agendas through a variety of cutting-edge resources and equipment including VICON motion analysis with an eight-camera system, GAITRite system, Bertec force plates, CORTECH brain flow measurement system, and Virtualis' virtual reality system.
