About The Position

The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking an academic Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery specializing in multi-organ transplantation. This full-time, non-tenure track position involves clinical practice, resident teaching, and clinical research within a top-tier department known for its excellence in medical education and patient care.

Requirements

• MD/DO or equivalent degree.
• Completion of a five-year accredited residency in Surgery.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Surgery with specialty training in Transplantation Surgery.
• Licensure by the Ohio Medical Board required by time of appointment.
• Demonstrated commitment to an academic career through research and teaching.

Nice To Haves

• Independence in liver transplantation and living donor liver transplant.
• Experience with NRP and robotic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the operating room and provide surgical care for transplant patients.
• Engage in ward teaching and advising of surgical residents, fellows, and medical students.
• Contribute to clinical research initiatives within the Department of Surgery.
• Support the education of resident surgeons and medical students.
