About The Position

The Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in Computer Science and Engineering is under administrative supervision of the Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Specific activities include conducting research in the professor's principal fields of interest, contributing toward the strengthening of our research environment, and teaching courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking two new tenure-track faculty members at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. For candidates at the Assistant and Associate Professor levels, evidence of strong potential for excellence in research and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels is required. For candidates at the Professor level, evidence of demonstrated excellence in research and teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels is expected. Exceptional candidates in all areas will be considered, and we especially welcome applicants conducting research in Software Engineering and Cyber Security.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field (ABDs may be considered).
• Rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

• Research and teaching experience in Cyber Security, Wireless Networks, Cloud Security, Industrial Control Systems Security, Accreditation, Authorizations and Risk Assessment processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research in areas of interest and publish findings.
• Obtain research grants/contracts with federal government and private industry.
• Keep other faculty members and students informed of advances in the areas of interest.
• Teach courses in the areas of interest at the graduate level.
• Teach undergraduate courses and advise undergraduate students.
• Guide graduate students in thesis and dissertations.
