SUNY Polytechnic Institute's College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Physics, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Mathematics. The successful applicant will engage in research and scholarship involving undergraduate students, teach courses in existing mathematics programs and service courses, contribute to the development of an MS in Applied Mathematics with tracks in Mathematical Physics and Computational Mathematics, and collaborate with faculty at SUNY Poly in disciplines such as physics, computer science, data science, and engineering. The area of research specialization is open, but we are especially interested in applicants with an active research program from any area of Mathematics and Computational Mathematics, and who want to join an environment where they can collaborate in multidisciplinary teams advancing the four thematic areas described in SUNY Poly's 2024 Strategic Plan: Materials, Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing; AI and Information Technology; Smart Infrastructure and Sustainability; and Healthcare & Wellbeing. We are eager to hear from candidates with a commitment to advancing SUNY Poly's strategic plan and our mission, vision, and values. The expected start date is August 2026.
