The Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonology is seeking a full-time Interventional Pulmonologist. This position offers a unique opportunity to build upon the academic affiliation of University of Toledo College of Medicine (UT) with a large, vibrant community hospital. The Interventional Pulmonologist will be joining a robust academic program with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, medical education, and translational research. This role offers a balance of procedural focus and academic contribution, without ICU responsibilities, making it ideal for candidates passionate about advances pulmonary procedures, teaching, and innovation.

  • Participate in a comprehensive interventional infrastructure including robotic bronchoscopy, EBUS, cryotherapy, pleuroscopy, airway stenting, and valve therapies.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with thoracic surgery, oncology, and radiology.
  • Participate actively in tumor boards and lung nodule clinics.
  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and students in a competitive pulmonary and critical care fellowship program.
  • Contribute to academic research and innovation with strong institutional support.
  • Manage protected OR time for procedures without ICU coverage.
  • Commit to a light weekend schedule of only 4 weekends per year.
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pulmonary Medicine/Interventional.
  • Current and unrestricted licensure in the State of Ohio required prior to beginning the position.
  • Experience in working as a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
