About The Position
Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois invites applications from qualified individuals for a 100% full-time Assistant Professor, Tenured Associate or Full Professor position in the Department of Finance. The successful candidate will support the academic excellence of this well-respected department. This includes a record of visible and rigorous scholarly achievement appropriate for the candidate's rank; contributing to the innovation in programs and curricula for which the department is known; delivering an exceptional experience to highly motivated students; and advancing the College's strategic priorities.
Requirements
- Assistant Professor candidates must either possess or be about to receive a PhD in Finance, Economics, or a related field, and demonstrate evidence of the potential to conduct research publishable in leading finance and/or economics journals.
- Candidates for appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor ranks must have a track record of publications in leading finance and/or economics journals.
- All candidates must demonstrate a record of teaching effectiveness and leadership potential commensurate with the position sought.
