The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University is seeking a full-time non-tenure-track faculty member for the position of Assistant/Associate/Full Teaching Professor with a specialization in Robotics. This role focuses on teaching and educational interaction with students, including curriculum development and student advising, while providing opportunities for educational impact in both the university and the broader professional field.

  • Teach courses related to robotics, including kinematics, dynamics, and control of robots.
  • Develop and deliver curriculum for undergraduate and graduate courses in robotics and related areas.
  • Advise students on academic and career matters.
  • Engage in educational scholarship and mentorship of a diverse cohort of students.
  • Teach courses in embedded systems, digital logic design, computer organization, and programming as needed.
  • Manage an annual teaching load of six courses, with potential for multiple sections.
  • PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science by the appointment start date.
  • Demonstrated experience in robotics and related subareas.
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level is recommended.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Industrial experience in robotics or related fields.
