About The Position

The University of St. Thomas School of Law (Minnesota) invites applications for a full-time faculty position teaching and writing in doctrinal subjects, beginning in Fall 2026. We will consider applicants in all subject areas. We will consider both entry-level and lateral candidates, and both tenure-track and tenured appointments. We seek candidates who are, or have the potential to become, excellent scholars and teachers and will also contribute to our distinctive mission as a Catholic law school. The School of Law offers an innovative curriculum emphasizing professional formation and the education of the whole person. Requirements

  • Applicants must possess a J.D. or equivalent academic degree
  • Candidates must have strong academic credentials
  • Demonstrate strong scholarly potential
  • Exhibit a commitment to excellence in teaching
  • Lateral candidates must also demonstrate an outstanding scholarly record, a history of excellence in teaching, and substantial service

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active scholarly agenda
  • Teach approximately 10 credits per academic year
  • Engage in both internal and external service
