The School of Architecture (SoA) at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) is seeking applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Architecture Design. This position is part of a university-wide initiative known as RISE 100, aimed at enhancing the academic and research activities of the School and maintaining its national reputation as a leader in architectural education. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who can contribute innovatively to the college's evolving design research and externally funded agenda. The role requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to build cross-disciplinary teams within the College, UTA, and external organizations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional teaching abilities in design courses, possess an established research or professional portfolio with appropriate external funding, and have a clear agenda of scholarship that contributes to the making of architecture. The School is particularly interested in applicants with expertise in advanced computational design, material science research, building performance analysis, and emerging technologies related to AI/VR/AR. Evidence of collaborative work is highly encouraged, as the position aims to foster innovation in applied research for the built environment. Candidates are expected to develop innovative pedagogy and apply principles of making in their work and teaching. The School of Architecture has a rich history of over 50 years and is home to a diverse student body, offering various accredited programs in architecture and design.
